Melbourne rockers Eddy Current Suppression Ring are set to release their third full-length album, 'Rush to Relax' on February 19. Their previous effort 'Primary Colors' received vast critical acclaim from the likes of Buddyhead, The Guardian and The Australian Independent Record Labels Association.
If you haven't heard them already these guys play punk rock that's basically a cross between the dirty sound of the Pyscho Surgeons and Radio Birdman, and the cleaner stuff of the Saints and Numbers, some of the best punk bands Australia ever produced, so you know this stuff is good.
The lead track off the new album, 'Anxiety' has made its way out and as expected its a loud rowdy mess. Brendan Suppression is his usual agitated self, blurting out lines about his anxiety racked life whilst Rob Solid, Eddy Current and Danny Current put together a sound that's more surf rock than much of their previous work.
