Brisbane garage popsters Running Guns released their new album 'Friends' today, you can listen to it for free, yes free, if you travel over to their Bandcamp page.

Julien: Shrug. Because James and Mickey couldn't think of anything better?

Around Brisbane - Running Gun Sound

Brisbane's Running Guns are an unsigned five-piece that plays a sloppy, carefree brand of garage rock.

The band began its life in 2008 as a two-piece, playing shows across Brisbane venues as well as recording their first EP 'Plastic Sunshine'.

In 2009 the band evolved its sound as it welcomed three additional members into the fold. They also went on to tour Australia and record their first album 'Running Guns' at Incremental Studios.

'Secret Police (Rad Cool)' is one of the bands standout tracks, melding their garage pop ethos with a sound reminiscent of Californian punk, particularly 'Beehive and the Barracudas'. Play the Youtube clip below for a listen.
