Another BIGSOUND 2013 Lineup Announcement

Another 80 acts have joined the BIGSOUND Live 2013 lineup. Leading the list are Melbourne rock heroes Kingswood, the super-sized Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Antipodes-via-South Africa beatmaker Jonti, former Powderfinger guitarist Darren Middleton, refined songstress Gossling, Blue King Brown’s Natalie Pa’apa’a, Canada’s Yukon Blonde, the crafted art-rock of The Trouble With Templeton, rising hip hop star Chance Waters, Regular John.

There’s also Eagle And The Worm, Tigertown, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Grey Ghost, Elizabeth Rose, Cub Scouts, Buchanan, Them Swoops, Jess Ribeiro and the Bone Collectors, Damn Terran, The Love Junkies, Money For Rope, Zeahorse, The Demon Parade, and many, many more.

1. Who are your heroes?
Dave Grohl, Snoop Dogg and Violent Soho
2. The first band you saw live?
50 Cent was the first concert I went to but Blink 182 was the first band I saw
3. What's your favourite Brisbane music venue?
The Tivoli hands down
4. What’s the best (or dumbest) thing that’s been said to you at/after a show?
Good question, when we were in America in Texas we had a gig at the High Time Awards after being nominated and the person curating the event said really seriously that we needed to talk to her after the gig. So after walking around the venue for about 30 minutes trying to find her before bailing because we were fucking wrecked she asked us, "Do you Australians eat kangaroos all the time?" I was pretty keen to shoot myself in the face at that point.
5. Why 'Dune Rats' as your band name?
Good question haha.. Danny's neighbour's Dad and his friends would always call Danny and his friends little dune rats because they'd be running around the sand dunes smoking bongs instead of getting into the surf.
6. What makes you smile?
Pussy and weed
7. What makes you cringe?
No pussy or weed
8. Describe the raddest heist you’ve ever pulled off. What’d you steal?
I stole a pack of cymbals from my high school after everyone had gone home on a friday afternoon. It was glorious.
9. What bands should people reading this be listening to?
