Around Brisbane - DZ

Brisbane duo DZ have been regarded as one of the 'buzz' bands on the Brisbane music scene for some time now. Establishing a loyal following by playing gigs around town before going on to release their debut EP 'Ruined My Life' through Useless Art Records last September and disappearing into the sunset on a national tour.

The band has a stripped back, dirty punk sound similar to that of early Death From Above 1979, something that you can picture emanating from the basement of a packed house party as drunken youths stumble up and down the stairs. Check it out below, coupled with some of the best low budget music clips you'll see.

The local boys were scheduled to be playing the now canceled Lost Weekend Festival this weekend but will keep themselves busy as they go on tour with established Australian icons Grinspoon for the rest of the month. If you want to catch them as the headline act though they'll be back in town in April to play the Zoo as part of the 'Batten Down the Hatches Tour'.
